Meet the Team
Mr. John S. Paraszczak is the President and CEO at REMET® Corporation since April 1999. He has been in Executive roles with various major international firms throughout his entire career. Following opportunities in multiple leadership positions with, IC Industries, LTV‘s Youngstown Sheet & Tube, Esmark Corp.’s Estech Oil, Swift Adhesives and National Wax Companies. Mr. Paraszczak rose to Vice President –International Sales in 1983, and has been an industry leader in the international business arena, with particular focus in the global precision investment casting industry since 1989. He served as President & CEO at Yates Investment Casting and Dussek Campbell-Yates International. Mr. Paraszczak serves as Chairman of the Board of Remet Corporation, is a member of DePaul University’s College of LA & S Advisory Counsel and is a board member of the European Investment Casters Federation. Mr. Paraszczak founded the “Shaping the Future” program in conjunction with the School of the Art Institute. He holds an M.B.A. from DePaul’s Kellstadt Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University.
John P. Paraszczak
John joined REMET® Corporation in November of 2014 as the Corporate Treasurer. He began his professional career with the Chicago-based company SP Plus Corporation (formerly known as Standard Parking Corporation) in 2002 as a Staff Accountant. He held additional positions with SP Plus such as Treasury Analyst, Senior Treasury Analyst, and most notably as the Manager of Treasury Operations for the seven years prior to joining REMET®. John is also a member of the Remet® Board of Directors. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
Dave joined Remet in April of 2014, after 30 years of technical, marketing, business development and sales management experience in the investment casting, chemicals, paper, and minerals fields throughout most of the world. He came to Remet from Imerys, where he spent 2 years as the Business Development & Marketing Director with the C-E Minerals business unit. Prior to that Dave spent 8 years in various Marketing, Business Development & Product Management roles within the Imerys businesses in the US and Singapore. His other business experience includes Director of Sales & Marketing – AkzoNobel Paper Chemicals, Regional Sales Manager at Bayer Chemicals, and Technical Supervisor at International Paper. Dave holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland.
Gavin studied Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and a PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK. Gavin’s PhD was entitled “Shell Improvements for the Investment Casting of Orthopaedic Implants”. He has gained over 5 years investment casting experience as a process and materials engineer within a medical device foundry before joining Remet in 2016. He is currently studying for a Masters in Management with the Open University.
Bob joined REMET® in April 2019 as Supply Chain and Customer Service Director. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from SUNY Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo. Bob brings over 35 years of industrial experience working for companies in a diverse range of industries.
Bob is also an Adjunct Instructor at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY, focusing on engineering and production.
Steve has 30 years of global experience in the metals casting as well as a diverse range of other manufacturing sectors. Key areas of technical focus have been in the areas of process metallurgy as well as production equipment asset maintenance to improve productivity and throughput in the plant. Over Steve’s career he has held several leadership and executive positions focused on business development. Steve has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Science degree in Materials Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and a Master’s of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Chicago.
Scott joined REMET® in January of 2018 as Wax Technical Service Manager. His professional experience in the Investment Casting Industry includes two years of managing investment casting product applications for a material supplier and over three years of experience as a process engineer at an aerospace foundry. Scott holds a degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University in Alfred, NY.
Bob has been with REMET®, serving in various capacities, since 1987. These 25-plus years have provided Bob with extensive experience and a strong understanding of the PIC process throughout the many industry applications. Primarily focused on the bronze art casting and non-PIC markets, Bob remains committed to customer satisfaction through complete process solutions.
Keith has degrees in Physics and Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College. He joined REMET® in 2003. Keith’s PIC work began in 1978. He also has significant experience in die casting, plastic injection molding, CNC machining and Thermal Processing & Coatings including Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). Process Control and ISO experience and studies were gained during ISO 9000 implementation at two prior companies.
David joined REMET® in 1999 and has 16 years working as a REMET territory manager. David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts (Industrial Technology) with related minors in Business and Education from North Texas State University in 1979. He has over 35 years’ experience working exclusively in the Investment Casting Industry with 21 of those years working directly in the foundry in various product & process engineering and technical positions
David began his career as a product & process engineer and has held various positions in product & process engineering, engineering management, and total management of tool room operations. He has extensive experience and expertise in designing, engineering, and producing custom investment castings for commercial and aerospace applications. This expertise extends to all areas of the investment casting process including wax, shell, foundry, and subsequent finishing and outside services, and includes high volume air melt commercial steel casting production, Aerospace aluminum production, Titanium Casting production and Nickel based Superalloy blade and vane production.
Allan (Al) Lewis
Al brings 35 plus years of casting experience, primarily in the Investment Casting Industry servicing the Aerospace Primes. Al has extensive experience with a variety of metals: aluminums, magnesium, titanium, stainless steels, cobalt base and nickel base (super alloys) producing structural and aircraft engine components. Over his career, Al has managed in Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sales and is very familiar with NADCAP and AS9100C requirements. Al has hands on experience with wax room, shell room and foundry operations as well as post casting (HIP, heat treat, straightening, machining and NDT) processes. Al has a strong customer service background and has managed many special programs and projects. Al holds a degree in Business Administration.
Rob Parker joined REMET® in March of 2018 as the Territory Manager – Southwest and will based in the Phoenix, AZ area. Rob joins Remet with years of professional experience in the investment casting sales, material development and powder metal parts industries. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Oregon State University.
Laura Schlaepfer joined REMET PIC Inc.’s commercial team in January 2017 as an Inside Sales representative and she currently manages accounts in the America’s PIC territory (Central, South, North). Prior to joining Remet, Laura was a Customer Development Specialist in the Safety Supply industry.
Bob joined REMET® in March 2019 as Inside Sales Representative. He brings over 20 years of industrial Sales and Management experience, including with two Fortune 100 companies. In his previous role, he was a member of an Inside Sales team servicing Customers in a multi-state territory.
Manuel has spent 19 years working in the REMET Lab in Utica, NY. Manuel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana, IL. He has over 30 years’ experience working in foundry (PCC & Howmet) and laboratory environments.
